Emotional Freedom Technique relieves stress and anxiety

An EFT session typically lasts one hour. If this is your first session you will be taught how to perform EFT on yourself. You will be guided through several rounds of EFT until you feel comfortable with the tapping movements and locations for tapping on the body.

Gary Craig, the originator of EFT says, “The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.”
EFT is like acupressure for the emotions. But, instead of applied pressure, EFT uses gentle tapping with the fingertips on some of the endpoints of the body’s energy channels or meridians, to rapidly bring relief for emotional distress.

EFT is easy to learn. The basics can be taught in one class. EFT is fast and easy to perform for yourself. It can be used for relief whenever you experience anxiety or emotional distress. Once the basic concepts of EFT are understood it can be adapted to any need or situation. EFT is highly effective (80% or higher success rate, much higher than traditional therapy techniques) for relief of anxiety, stress, guilt, depression, anger, fear, panic, phobic reactions, addictive behaviors, post traumatic stress disorder,  self-image problems, and self-esteem issues. In addition, EFT has been used to successfully address many physical issues; because many physical issues have emotional foundations.
Negative thoughts cause disruption in the flow of energy in the body. When this happens we experience emotional distress. By tapping at selected points on the body’s energy system and tuning into the negative emotions being experienced with verbal reminders, EFT targets the disruption and rebalances the energy. This restores the flow in the body’s energy system and the emotional distress and any related physical symptoms are relieved.

Then we will work together on the problem you want to address, whether it is emotional or physical. Together, we will break the problem down into small pieces that we can alleviate using EFT.

*If you still feel some intensity repeat this  formula using the words, “Even though I still have some of this remaining problem, I deeply and completely accept myself,” while tapping the karate chop point, and then the words,      “This remaining problem,” while tapping the other points.

Repeat the formula from * as needed.
9. Tap the top of head (H) point 7 - 10 times as you  say, “This problem.”
8. Tap the under arm (UA) point 7 - 10 times as you  say, “This problem.”
7. Tap the collarbone (CB) point 7 - 10 times as you  say, “This problem.”
6. Tap the chin (CH) point 7 - 10 times as you  say, “This problem.”
5. Tap the under nose (UN) point 7 - 10 times as you  say, “This problem.”
4. Tap the under eye (UE) point 7 - 10 times as you  say, “This problem.”
3. Tap the side of eye (SE) point 7 - 10 times as you  say, “This problem.”
